We seek outstanding postdoctoral students who have a strong desire to pursue research in conjunction with CTRD faculty mentors in the subjects related to the evolution, development and expression of sex and gender with a special emphasis on parental effects on development.

Postdoctoral Trainees

2-year NIH traineeship (assuming satisfactory performance and award renewal by NIH) offered in integrative research in sexuality, sexual behavior, reproduction and development, with attention given to a wide variety of species, including humans. PhD in psychology, anthropology, gender studies, evolutionary biology, neuroscience, or a related field is required.

Funding is from NIH T32 training grant, "Common Themes in Reproductive Diversity."

At this time, we are searching to fill 2 postdoctoral positions starting as early as June 2016. Evaluations will begin as early as March 15, 2016, but positions will remain open until filled. Please check back for updates on timing.

All Trainees

The criteria for selection for postdoctoral positions will include GREs, academic record, letters of recommendation, and evidence of productive research experience, which may include presentations at scientific meetings, publications, and research grants. In addition, we will consider a brief plan of research.

All trainees will be expected to participate in the core elements of the program. Examples are enrollment in core courses, pursuing training in research ethics, spending time with visiting lecturers, presenting at the Animal Behavior Research Conference, serving as models for younger students, and participating in a common forum for discussion. We will expect regular attendance at CTRD events, which will occur in collaboration with CISAB, Kinsey Institute, and other participating departments/programs.
